Arsenal’s academy stars impressed at various youth levels for their countries on Thursday, scoring six goals and assisting three as well in just one day of football.

Starting with the u21s, Reiss Nelson made his debut for the top England academy side from the bench. In just 20 minutes, he scored one, assisted one, and even managed to draw praise from a BT Sport panel including Michael Owen. His goal was an audacious flick and deserves a watch:

Meanwhile, with Northern Ireland, Arsenal centre-back Daniel Ballard stole the show for the u21s, scoring a dramatic late winner against Iceland. He also had to make a key goalline clearance to keep the scores level earlier in the game. Afterwards, he spoke to the Northern Ireland Twitter account about the game:

For the England u20s, Eddie Nketiah and Joe Willock both scored in a win against Italy. Nketiah gave the side the lead early on, assisted by his Arsenal teammate, before Willock himself added another from the penalty spot.

Finally, Tyreece John-Jules scored for the England u18s, in a match also involving Sam Greenwood and Bukayo Saka. The u18s won 4-0 against Sweden.

Overall, a fantastic day for the Arsenal academy. With any luck, there will be many more like it in the future.
