Matt Macey had to make another penalty save at the weekend for Plymouth Argyle, as they continue to give away spot-kicks almost every game.
Macey has had to face a league-high five penalties already for Plymouth, since joining the club last month. Fortunately he also tops the division for penalty saves so far, making his second at the weekend.
It was an impressive save, as he dived away from the ball, but managed to extend a long arm back to keep it out anyway. Take a look from a couple of different angles below:
The Plymouth fans seem very impressed with the Arsenal loanee, whilst simultaneously showing a lot of irritation at their defence for continually putting the goalkeeper under pressure. Plymouth fell to a late defeat anyway, despite Macey’s penalty heroics.

Hopefully the goalkeeper can keep up his good form, and return to Arsenal ready to challenge for first-team places. As it stands, Petr Cech’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season, so there could be opportunities for Matt Macey or Emi Martinez if they stick around. We’ll have to wait and see.
