Matteo Guendouzi dropped a like on a cheeky Instagram post poking fun at Alexis Sanchez on Wednesday night, after Arsenal’s win over Brentford.

Danny Welbeck’s double against Brentford took the striker to four goals for the season. It didn’t take long for Arsenal fans to point out this is one more than Alexis Sanchez has in his entire Manchester United career so far.

Bleacher Report Football highlighted on their Instagram page that former Manchester United forward Welbeck is now up to four goals in 221 minutes. Meanwhile former Arsenal forward Sanchez is yet to scored after 333.

Matteo Guendouzi clearly enjoyed the comparison, as he ‘liked’ the post:

The like stayed up for a while, but presumably Guendouzi then got a call from a social media rep and had to take it back, because it’s gone now.

Regardless, Guendouzi is doing a great job of endearing himself to the Arsenal fans. He got himself a first assist against Brentford, setting up Danny Welbeck. Then, after the second goal, he did a knee-slide in front of the away supporters. The midfielder even got in an argument with Mike Dean, so he’s ticking all the right boxes. Long may it continue.
