Alexandre Lacazette was named ‘Player of the Weekend’ by the Guardian after the Frenchman’s stellar display against Cardiff on Sunday.
“Granted his first start of the season by Unai Emery, Lacazette set up Pierre Emerick Aubameyang for Arsenal’s second goal at Cardiff before scoring their winner with a thrashing finish,” they wrote.
He was also named in their Team of the Weekend:
Lacazette was also named in Garth Crooks’ Team of the Week but that isn’t really much of an achievement as you usually only need to make sure you score a goal in a televised match to make his team.
