Arsenal are set to face former Gunners Nico Yennaris, Josh Dasilva and Dan Bentley in the League Cup, after the club drew Brentford at the Emirates Stadium in the next round.

Thursday’s draw revealed the Gunners will face Brentford at home on 25th/26th September. It’s a particularly coincidental match-up for young Josh Dasilva, who thought he’d managed to get away from the Emirates by signing a long-term contract with The Bees earlier this month.

Dasilva hasn’t made his first appearance for his new club yet, and now he could be set to make his debut at his old team’s stadium. The 19-year-old certainly saw the funny side:

Dasilva isn’t the only one in for a return to his former club though. Nico Yennaris left Arsenal for Brentford back in 2014, and seemed to be looking forward to reuniting with former teammates like Emi Martinez:

Goalkeeper Dan Bentley also spent some time with Arsenal as a youth player, joining as an eight-year-old and spending around seven years in North London. He hasn’t posted any comments about the match on social media, but he’ll surely want to give his all to impress against his former team as well.

From an Arsenal fan point of view, hopefully the trio all enjoy the game but go home without a result!
