Arsenal are reportedly struggling to find an agreement with Aaron Ramsey over a new contract according to the S*n

The midfielder is out of contract next summer, and free to talk to non-British clubs from January, but there still seems to be no sign of an agreement between the club and the player.

The S*N report that they both began discussing an extension as far back as 2017 but have yet to find a place to meet. Ramsey wants a large pay rise on his reported £110kpw wages and Arsenal want him to stay. Given his wife recently announced that the couple is expecting twins, it seems unlikely he will want to upend his life. What the hold up is, then, is unclear.

“Arsenal need to make their move soon and are being slow to the punch as usual,” an unnamed club source told the paper.

“They could lose another one of their top stars if they are not careful. It’s a very delicate situation.”

Ramsey was named on the bench against Chelsea, coming on after 68 minutes to replace Mesut Ozil.
