Atletico Madrid are reportedly interested in bringing Olivier Giroud to Spain just six months after he left Arsenal.
Although Giroud turned out for Chelsea in the second half of the season, Arsenal fans had a hard time letting him go and still claimed him as one of their own during the World Cup this summer
That would, of course, become a much easier thing to do should he leave Chelsea to go abroad and it seems as if Diego Simeone’s men are interested.
AS report on Sunday that Atletico have already met with Chelsea in London with a view to signing the World Cup winner should a deal for Nikola Kalinic fall through.
AS talk about Giroud as a team player, how he played for France not just to score goals for himself and they believe that Giroud’s compatriot, Antoine Griezmann could be key to the deal going through.
Should Giroud move to Spain he would be going there as third choice.
