David Ospina’s agent was spotted negotiating the transfer of his client to Fenerbahce, according to reports from Turkey.

Turkish Football report that Fenerbahce president Ali Koc travelled to London earlier in the week to negotiate Ospina’s transfer to the club. He was then spotted in London’s Dorchester Hotel, along with the goalkeeper’s agent and Arsenal representatives, according to the claims.

The Daily Star write that Fenerbahce aren’t the only club in the mix for the 29-year-old, with Mexican club Tigres also showing a strong interest. At this point it does seem a lot more likely than not that the Colombian is on his way out though.

Bernd Leno joined the club this month from Bayer Leverkusen, and he’ll hope to take over the number one spot at Arsenal. Then Petr Cech seems keen to stay as well, based on the way he’s turning down opportunities at the likes of Napoli. Ospina is certainly unlikely to get much game time behind both of them.

At this point, the best thing for Arsenal and Ospina is if the Colombian has a strong World Cup from here on out. He wasn’t the most convincing in his country’s first game, but there’s plenty of time to turn things around. Let’s hope he does.
