Arsenal, Napoli and Inter Milan have all made contact with Paris Saint-Germain winger Goncalo Guedes, according to reports in France.

Guedes is still technically on loan at Valencia, until the end of the month. Paris United report that he wants to return to Spain next season, presumably rejoining the club he spent the 2017/18 campaign with.

There are a number of clubs trying to change his mind though, including Arsenal and the other two mentioned above.

Agent Jorge Mendes met with the PSG president in recent weeks over Guedes, among others. He wants to agree a transfer for the player before the end of Portugal’s World Cup campaign.

Guedes is currently with his country preparing for their final group match against Iran on Monday night. He hasn’t had the most exciting of tournaments so far, but still has an assist to his name, and only missed 10 minutes of the first two group games.

To be starting for a country like Portugal at a World Cup as a 21 year old is impressive, and gives you an idea of how well the player performed on loan last season. Overall he scored six goals and provided 11 assists in 2017/18.

Arsenal certainly seem to be in the market for a winger, so we’ll have to see how this one progresses in the coming weeks.
