Adrien Rabiot could leave Paris Saint-Germain for Arsenal this summer, with a number of clubs interested in his signature as he enters the final year of his contract in France.

TalkSPORT report that Rabiot is ‘considering his future’ after he recently failed to make the France squad travelling to the World Cup in Russia this summer.

Juventus, Tottenham and Napoli are all on alert over the availability of the 23-year-old. Arsenal reportedly join them in the chase, and might have an advantage in Unai Emery.

As we all know, Emery previously managed Rabiot when he was in charge of PSG. The Spaniard really helped develop the midfielder into one of the mainstays of the French side, giving the Frenchman 49 appearances (41 starts) this season alone.

Now Rabiot is just one year from the end of his contract, and Arsenal could use a midfielder just like him in their starting line up.

He’s still young, but already has a lot of experience under his belt. He has a physical presence, doesn’t struggle to play out under pressure, contributes defensively and gets involved in the goals from time to time as well.

The pieces are all in place for the club to make a move, and you can see why they’d want to. It’s just about whether they can afford to take on PSG in negotiations. Unfortunately that’s still a long shot.

If Rabiot really wants a move though, they can only force him to stay for one more year. Then it’s his choice where he goes.
