Juventus have ‘officially’ completed a move for Arsenal 15-year-old Yunus Musah, according to reports in Italy.

Gazzetta dello Sport report that the Italian side have reached an agreement with the player, and ‘the deal is now officially done’. Musah usually plays for the u15s with Arsenal, and he’s also made a number of appearances for the England u16s this season.

Despite his young age, the midfielder has two appearances for the Arsenal u18s. He came off the bench against Leicester u18s last October, when he was just 14.

Then he started and scored against Chelsea this week. It wasn’t a normal match, as both teams agreed to field younger sides. The Blues had already wrapped up the title, and a number of u18s were away on International Duty.

Still, if the rumours are true, it would be disappointing to lose such a young player who is already having an impact in the higher age groups.

With many of the u23s stepping up to the first-team squad (Nelson, Willock, Nketiah, etc.), and u18s filling their spots in the top academy side (John-Jules, Smith Rowe, etc.), Arsenal will need younger players to fill in at u18 level next season.

Hopefully the club don’t live to regret letting the youngster go. We’ll see if the deal is officially confirmed in the coming days.
