Once again, pictures of Arsenal’s new kit have leaked early, and fans on social media have spotted one notable absentee from the promotional pictures.

A number of pictures of the players in the new kit have been floating around Twitter in the last day or so. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is unsurprisingly the main man in the photos, but he’s joined by Mesut Özil, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Hector Bellerin and Alexandre Lacazette, among others.

One player who isn’t in the photos is Aaron Ramsey. It’s a surprising omission, given the Welshman was announced as the club’s Player of the Season on Friday, and he’s already won Goal of the Season as well.
Arsenal fans spotted the 27-year-old’s absence, and took it to mean he would be leaving this summer, instead of extending his current contract expiring in 2019:
No Ramsey being used? Hmm

It’s very possible the omission means nothing at all. He could be in one of the other promotional pictures that hasn’t leaked just yet. He could be the main man modelling the away kit, or the third kit.
Additionally, kit launches have never made particularly reliable sources of information on transfers anyway. Samir Nasri posed in Arsenal’s new kit before moving to Manchester City, Cesc Fabregas and Robin van Persie did the same before going to Barcelona and Manchester United.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was a big part of last year’s promotion and pre-season tour, then left for Liverpool. It’s a bit more meaningful leaving someone out, but at this point we still don’t know that’s what they’ve done. We’ll have to wait and see.
