Arsenal fans have started to get excited about the prospect of signing Caglar Soyuncu, after his agent’s activity on Instagram raised some eyebrows.

In recent weeks, the media have heavily linked Arsenal to a move for Soyuncu. He explained last week that he’s already spoken to the club about his offers to leave, and hopes to sort things out soon. Meanwhile, various sources suggest the Gunners are willing to pay up to £35m for him.

Eagle-eyed supporters then spotted Soyuncu’s agent following Arsenal fan account ‘afcvideos’ on Instagram. Another fan pointed out the agent also follows Arsenal’s Alex Iwobi:

It didn’t take long for some fans on social media to start convincing themselves the transfer is pretty much a done deal.

Arsenal fans should really know better by now, as this wouldn’t be the first time they’ve read into Instagram activity only for it all to come to nothing. One supporter reminded everyone of the same nonsense back in January with Malcom’s agent:

At the end of the day it’s mostly just a bit of fun, and people love to try and find clues for their club’s next transfer. In this case, it’s possible Soyuncu’s agent just likes to watch Arsenal.
