It will be all or nothing on Saturday lunchtime as Arsenal must win their game to close the gap with the Citizens to one point on the day.

With Chelsea beating Birmingham 2-1 on Thursday, the Blues have more or less sewn up the title and could be crowned by next Tuesday, should Arsenal beat City on Saturday.

The remaining fixtures are as follows:

  • Saturday 12 May Arsenal v Man City, Chelsea v Sunderland
  • Tuesday 15 May Bristol v Chelsea
  • Wed 16 May Man City v Yeovil, Sunderland v Arsenal
  • Sunday 20 May Liverpool v Chelsea, Man City v Everton, Bristol v Arsenal

Chelsea have 35 points and a +27 goal difference.

Manchester City have 32 points and a + 27 goal difference as well.

Arsenal have 28 points with a + 19 goal difference.

It is quite clear that, even with a win on Saturday, the gap between City and Arsenal is likely to stay at one point until the end of the season.

Unfortunately Yeovil and Everton are not in the same class as City.

But, hopefully their inconsistent form will give us a chance to have a go at them and an unlikely slip-up might open a door for us.

They have actually lost as many games this season as they did in the whole of seasons 2015, 2016 and the Spring Series 2017.
