Anthony Martial is going to look for a new club this summer, according to reports, as he doesn’t see a future at Manchester United under Jose Mourinho.

There have been plenty of reports in the past suggesting Arsene Wenger is a big fan of Anthony Martial, and the Frenchman’s agent recently refused to say whether his client would remain at the club.

Dean Jones of Bleacher Report wrote on Twitter that he understands Martial will look for a new club to escape his current manager.

Martial is understandably frustrated with the way his season is going. He made Manchester United’s Champions League squad eight times, but only started four matches. Similarly, he is up to 30 Premier League squad appearances, but only 16 starts.

As a result, he spends most of his time watching matches from the bench, preparing for short cameos.

Nonetheless, he is in double figures for goals and assists. He’s clearly a talented player, and could achieve a lot more with regular football.

Unfortunately, I can’t see Arsenal moving for the 22-year-old this summer. Wenger is already on record saying the club don’t need any more forwards.

Whilst this could be a negotiating tactic, it seems more likely the boss is simply happy with his current options. Alexandre Lacazette, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Danny Welbeck are all in good form at the moment.

Arsenal have more important areas to focus on, and that’s what I expect them to do.
