Jonny Evans is set to turn down any interest from Arsenal this summer in the hopes of sealing a move to Manchester City in news that will delight Arsenal fans rather than annoy them.

Read on to find out which 7 centrebacks Arsenal could sign this summer
The former Manchester United defender is available for just £3m this summer should West Brom be relegated and thanks to Alan Pardew’s awful management, it is a matter of ‘when’ not ‘if’ the Baggies go down.
They are currently rock bottom of the table with just 21 points from 33 games and are some 10 points and seven goals from safety.
Their fate could even be sealed this weekend if results go against them. Should Palace (at home to Brighton), Huddersfield (at home to Watford) and Swansea (at home to Everton) win while the Baggies lose (away to Manchester United), safety will be out of reach.
In an EXCLUSIVE, the Mirror claim that “Jonny Evans is holding out for a summer move to Manchester City and is reluctant to join long-time suitors Arsenal.
“Northern Ireland international Evans is still based in the north west and is understood to firmly favour moving to the Etihad above the Emirates.”
Arsenal reportedly made a deadline day bid of £12m for Evans which was rejected. West Brom wanted £20m for their captain who has refused to sign a new contract with the club, turning down a £100kpw deal in the process.
Manchester City also tabled a bid for Evans in January, coming a lot closer to West Brom’s valuation.
Tony Pulis confirmed the Gunners’ interest in Evans back in September.
