Jack Wilshere has reportedly accepted that his time as an Arsenal player will come to an end this summer, according to an EXCLUSIVE by David Woods in the Daily Star.
Wilshere is refusing to sign a new deal with the club that would see his basic wage drop from £110kpw to either £80k or £90k depending on where you do your reading.
With Huss Fahmy refusing to move on what he considers to be a perfectly reasonable offer for a player who has not only failed to impress recently but has struggled with injuries throughout his whole Arsenal career, Jack needed to back down to have any chance of finding an agreement.
That didn’t look like happening but it was hopped that the closer the exit door loomed, the more chance there was that Jack would finally cave.
Not so, it seems.
He is digging in his heels and looks likely to walk away from Arsenal for free, ending his 17-year association with the club Arsene Wenger wanted him to captain and perhaps even manage one day.
Everton are believed to be in pole position to sign him, offering a massive signing-on fee of around £8m and a weekly pay packet closer to what Jack is currently earning at Arsenal.
