Massimiliano Allegri has been heavily linked with a number of top jobs this summer but the Juventus manager has no intention of going anywhere, meaning Arsenal could possibly snag him next summer.

Arsene Wenger looks set to see out the final year of his Arsenal contract while Chelsea are planning to replace Antonio Conte this summer.

What that meant was that Arsenal fans feared they would miss out on Allegri by keeping Wenger.

But if Allegri isn’t planning on going anywhere anytime soon, then the Gunners could well be in with a shout next summer assuming Chelsea don’t sack their new manager as well.

“I have a contract until 2020 and I am happy here. I am in harmony with the club,” Allegri said.

“I go on vacation when the transfer window opens because I trust the club completely.

“We still need to meet some objectives.

“If we don’t win the Scudetto and Coppa Italia they might not still want me.

“We’ll talk it over the way we always do, every year. There’s no difference.”

Although he stated he is under contract until 2020, there’s no denying that a club like Arsenal would be a massive draw. It is a club that offers top level football and stability for the manager to commit himself to long-term projects.

It is, of course, all speculation at this point but out of all the managers linked with the Arsenal job, Allegri would be my top pick and anything that makes it more likely Arsenal could get him is going to make me a little bit excited.
