Luke Shaw is edging closer to the exit at Manchester United, based on his expiring contract and poor relationship with Jose Mourinho, but who could he join next?

Shaw is set to leave United this summer, according to the BBC, after Mourinho’s latest comments. The Portuguese manager was publicly critical of the Englishman’s performance against Brighton over the weekend.

“Luke, in the first half, every time they came in his corridor, the cross came in and a dangerous situation was coming,” he said. “I was not happy with his performance.”

Shaw one of five left-backs we listed as possible long-term replacements for Nacho Monreal this summer, after the news that the position is one of four areas Sven Mislintat wants to strengthen.

But where do the bookmakers expect the 22-year-old to end up? Here are the latest odds:

9. Watford

14/1

8. Wolverhampton Wanderers

14/1

7. Arsenal

12/1

6. Chelsea

12/1

5. West Ham United

10/1

4. Leicester City

8/1

3. Southampton

8/1

2. Tottenham Hotspur

5/1

1. Everton

4/1

As you can see, Arsenal aren’t exactly top of the list, only just edging ahead of Wolverhampton Wanderers. That’s not surprising considering Mourinho’s relationship with Arsene Wenger is probably even more weak than his relationship with Shaw.

The two found a way to do business when they could both see a benefit in January, but it’s hard to picture one willingly selling a player to the other without something in return. We’ll see if anything changes between now and the summer.
