Just in case you hadn’t already heard (you definitely had), Manchester United lost 2-1 to Sevilla at home on Tuesday night… and Arsenal fans are once again having a ball.
Since Alexis Sanchez’s high-profile move to Manchester in January, the Chilean has failed to replicate the form he enjoyed under Arsene Wenger last season.
The 29-year-old was struggling to make a positive impact during his final months at Arsenal but most of us believed this was because he didn’t want to be there… now it seems he genuinely has forgotten how to play.
Against Sevilla, Alexis only had one shot, which was blocked, and completed just 69% of his passes. He earned himself a disappointing 3 in the Manchester Evening News‘ player ratings. The outlet described his performance against the La Liga side as a ‘night to forget’.
After drawing 0-0 away from home, Jose Mourinho’s side are now completely out of the Champions League. And the former Chelsea boss was NOT happy post-match.
Mou: "I've sat in this chair twice before, with Porto – Man Utd out, with Real Madrid – Man Utd out, so this is nothing new for this football club." #MUFC

The disrespect…
Naturally, Arsenal fans are having a great time. While we’re fully aware that our own team isn’t exactly firing on all cylinders at the moment, apart from the Milan and Watford wins, if we can’t enjoy Alexis playing terribly for our rivals, what can we enjoy?

It’s like the man has completely lost his game, like in FIFA when your player ages out and the rating knocks back

Alexis Sanchez best performance for Manchester United was when he played the piano in his presentation at the club.

Remember when media were showing the difference in smiles between Alexis and Mkhitaryan showing up to training, here’s that now. pic.twitter.com/1Mw7b1qI85

You mean Alexis has played under Pep and Mourinho, but played his best Football under Arsène Wenger? Fascinating.

Alexis Sanchez wanted to win titles with United. Out of the Champions League. They rival Manchester City will win the Premier League in their face. Karma at its best.

Records held by Alexis Sanchez:
PL record for losing the ball more times than any other player in a single game.
FA cup record for losing the ball more times than any other player in a single game
CL record for losing the ball more times than any other player in a single game— Danny WelBeast (@WelBeast) March 13, 2018
“Hello?” “Arsène. Jose.” “…Right.” “I sink you sold me a dud in Alexis. I want my money back.” “Wrong number.”
