Hector Bellerin’s agent has confirmed the player has received no offers to leave Arsenal this summer despite a raft of speculation in the press but that’s he’s willing to listen should any arrive from Italy.
Speaking to Radio CRC, Albert Botines said, “Right now it’s difficult to see him leaving.
“There’s no contact for Bellerin, no-one has sought me out. He’s happy, he’s recently renewed and he’s playing consistently. But it’s true that every player always wants to grow.
“If Italian clubs were interested in some of my clients I would listen, because – just like Juventus – Napoli are not only a great team in Italy but also in Europe.
“Every summer there is interest from clubs, but Arsenal have not made me aware that any offers have arrived.”
Bellerin signed a six-and-a-half-year deal at the end of 2016 but since then his development seems to have stalled significantly.
Many have suggested that the player may need to leave Arsenal to reach the potential he showed when he first exploded into the Arsenal first team in 2014 as long as Arsene Wenger remains at the club. Juventus have been heavily linked with a move for his signature and could certainly help him do that.
Last summer, Barcelona showed strong interest in bringing Bellerin back to the club but it came to nothing.
Arsenal are said to be open to letting Bellern leave should they receive offers over €60m as they look to rebuild their squad for Wenger’s final season.
Why a rebuild would involve selling one of the best full-backs on the planet is anyone’s guess, especially when there is no replacement at the club experienced enough to take over from him.
