Arsenal’s Premier League 2 match against Chelsea, due to take place at Meadow Park, has been postponed thanks to the snowy conditions.

On Thursday, Boreham Wood FC announced that they had to postpone their match on Saturday.

The accompanying pictures explained why, with snow fully covering the pitch.

As a result, it was fair to assume Arsenal would also postpone their match at the same ground on Friday.

The club have now confirmed this postponement on their website.

The match will take place at a later date, with Arsenal set to announce when as soon as possible.

The young Gunners are scheduled to take on Tottenham Hotspur next weekend, but there might be time after that but before the international break at the end of March.

Funnily enough, this isn’t the first time this has happened.

Last season the youngsters had their match against Chelsea postponed for exactly the same reason.

The u23s will want to get back to the action as possible, as they have a lot to play for.

They won their last match 2-1, beating Dinamo Zagreb in the Premier League International Cup. They’re now in the semi-finals of that competition.

Plus, in the league, the team are just one point off the top of the table.

They missed the chance to go top against Leicester City last month, but still have time to leapfrog Liverpool into first.

Good luck to them!
