Arsenal have announced the latest injury news ahead of the team’s Premier League match against Brighton on Sunday and fans… don’t actually care.
After missing out on Arsenal’s 3-0 defeat to Manchester City, Jack Wilshere is apparently back in contention for the weekend trip to Brighton.
According to Arsene Wenger, the 26-year-old missed out after picking up a knock to his ankle. The midfielder had played two matches in a week and was therefore rested. However, according to the boss, he should available.
“If he can practice tomorrow, then he will be in contention. He will not practice today, he will have treatment and then a test tomorrow,” said Wenger, via the official Arsenal website.
If Arsenal.com had just announced that Wilshere would be available for an actual game of football six months ago, fans would have been over the moon, but now no one actually cares.
Arsenal fans are so disillusioned by their club right now that they don’t even bat an eyelid at the team news.
After Arsenal’s second 3-0 defeat to City in five days, you can understand why the mood surrounding the club is at an all-time low. If we thought last year was bad, this apathy feels even worse.
Although, if apathy and people not caring enough to spend money on football tickets is what it takes for the club to actually take notice, then so be it.
