Arsenal fans have turned on Alexandre Lacazette after his 25 minutes on the pitch against Spurs.
The France international seems to have been skating on thin ice since his move from Lyon in the summer. There was always going to be pressure on him since he was, at the time, Arsenal’s record signing but his confidence now seems to be at rock bottom.
From the get-go, he struggled to play a full 90 minutes and despite scoring nine Premier League goals and providing four assists, Arsene Wenger has dropped him in favour of new striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Laca’s confidence is in the toilet and it shows. The 26-year-old came on in the 65th minute against Tottenham and managed to get two late shots away in the final few minutes. A goal would have put Arsenal on level terms in order to nick a point after a terrible second half performance overall.
Unfortunately, his shots were terrible with one glancing off his foot into row-Z and the other rolling inches wide of the post.
He did complete three out of three passes though…
Granted, he should have done better.
The guy was £52m. And I’m not going to make excuses for him. No matter how downtrodden he’s feeling, he’s a professional and he should be performing as soon as he gets the chance to play.
On the other hand, I find Arsenal fans’ tendency to suddenly switch on players when results aren’t going their way pretty annoying.
Criticise him, sure, but the amount of abuse I’m seeing towards the guy on Twitter is horrendous.
What a shambolic second half. Aside from Bellerin who basically played on the right by himself, they were all dogshit. And Lacazette the £50m man should be burying both those chances. Zero intensity for a North London fucking Derby.

Lacazette blah blah blah. No confidence, but he came on for 8 minutes and made 2 big chances for himself. More than Aubameyang managed all game. He’s an intelligent player, but it’s just not working for him at the moment.

Two utter, utter shite finishes from Lacazette. Won't help someone in already low confidence and form. But he certainly should have scored. Feel so let down by him today.

Mustafi repeatedly leaving Kane unmarked? Lacazette's fault. Cech thinking he's Johan Cruyff? Lacazette's fault. Bellerin being torn a new arsehole by Son? Lacazette's fault. Complete lack of midfield presence? Lacazette's fault. Tactically inept manager? Yep, Lacazette's fault.

All this Lacazette slander is pathetic. So strikers don’t miss chances? I remember Thierry Henry missing a sitter in the CL final to kill the game for us. And no, I'm certainly not comparing the two but it happens to all strikers. He should've scored today but we move on.

Lacazette is not enjoying this. As a sportsperson I’m feeling his anxiety at not performing. I hope he is doing something for the mental side of performance. Too many dismiss psychology and how important it is. It will always find you out. Peak physical + Peak mind = Performance

Crestfallen Lacazette is down the tunnel in the flash.
I’m going to need quite a bit of convincing that chance was as simple as many are portraying it, especially for a right-footer. pic.twitter.com/65BeEP1hOW

Six months or so Lacazette has been here? Guy looks on the verge of a breakdown.

We all criticise Lacazette now. Give it 5 more games and we will all be on Aubameyang's case too. It is not the players, it is the set up and coaching which is non existent under an arrogant "once upon" a time manager who is power drunk.

Don’t want to hear a fucking word from Lacazette moaning about being on the bench. He should be fucking thankful to be in the squad.

We've turned Lacazette to chamakh

Everyone was moaning that Lacazette didn’t start. That’s why. Had Auba stayed central he scores that.

Lacazette is literally the biggest flop of all time.

Those missed lacazette chances sting but we lost the shit out of that game.

Iwobi had a shocker
Lacazette has bottomed out in confidence
Welbeck is Welbeck

Lacazette offside cos he'd stopped to pull his fucking socks up.

that second chance in particular was Lacazette 101. cannot believe he missed.

Why’s Lacazette side-footing that? That’s shambolic
— JB™ (@gunnerpunner) February 10, 2018
I tried so hard not to speak badly on Lacazette but this is abysmal. Best conversion rate in Europe and you’re missing that?
