Arsenal fans have reached peak-smugness after another wasteful performance from Alexis Sanchez as Manchester United lost 1-0 to Newcastle.
When Arsenal fans described Alexis as wasteful, sloppy and selfish, opposition fans claimed we were just bitter because he was leaving.
Either that, or they were convinced Jose Mourinho would magically manage to erase the 29-year-old’s personality and turn him into the best forward to ever play the sport.
It’s hardly a surprise that he hasn’t.
At least not yet.
During the Chilean’s third full 90 minutes for the Red Devils, according to Bet365, he managed a pass completion rate of 64%, he only completed 50% of his dribbles, and he didn’t manage a single shot on target.
Unless you can his bizarre blocked shot.
Alexis, unsurprisingly, has also been dispossessed twice as many times as any other Manchester United player since his debut.
Giving away possession was practically all Alexis did during his final six months in north London but we thought he was just sulking.
Turns out, he can’t stop, even though he’s allegedly picking up £350k-per-week.
Arsenal fans obviously couldn’t be happier.
Our own team might be on the downward spiral to end all downward spirals at the moment so we have to find pleasure in something.
At the moment, that’s coming at Alexis’ expense.

So UTD were 11 pts behind City before Alexis joined? Now they are 16pts behind City. What a signing.
