Hector Bellerin has said that he feels more comfortable playing right back than at right wing back, and is excited by Arsenal’s new attacking options.

Bellerin played most of his games as a right wing-back last season, but Wenger used his Mobilebet bonus code, returning Bellerin to his usual right back role in the recent 5-1 win over Everton.

The Spaniard was expected to be a good fit for the wing-back role, but saw his form decline while playing there.

He’s admitted that he’s more comfortable with the traditional right back role due to his experience playing there.

“I played more years and have more experience playing as a right-back so obviously it is a position I am comfortable with,” he told the Evening Standard.

“Playing as a wing-back, I feel comfortable as well – I just need to adjust a few things in my game but whatever the boss wants me to play, I’ll do.”

Arsenal reverted to a 4-2-3-1 against Everton after using a 4-3-3 in recent games.

The move was partly inspired by Arsenal’s new attacking options and the need to fit them into the team.

However, if Bellerin’s comments are anything to go by, there were defensive reasons for the change as well.

“The important thing is we know what to do when we are on the pitch,” he said.

“Everyone knew today after the performance in the last game. Everything looked way more solid and everyone was more aware of their defensive duties. We know that once we have the ball, we can create chances so we are happy with the offensive performance as well.”

Among Arsenal’s attacking options now are Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Mesut Ozil will also continue to bring his quality to the team after signing a new contract until 2021.

Bellerin had no doubt the German would stay, and is looking forward to seeing the new attack in action on a regular basis.

“Everyone in the training ground, everyone in the team knew he was going to stay,” he explained.

“He is a guy that loves London, loves Arsenal and he always gets really angry when things don’t go well so you know how much it means for him to win or lose for this club. So I think everyone in the club, the dressing room was sure.

“It is as exciting as a new signing. To have a player with his qualities and all he brings to the team to sign for a few more years, it is really exciting for Arsenal and for the fans.

“I’m seeing the other players we have up front and even the players we have on the bench who can come on and you think obviously the creativity and electricity they bring into the team is something that is very rare to find in any other team.”
