Kelechi Nwakali got an assist as MVV Maastricht won their first game since his return to the club while Jeff Reine-Adelaide made his Angers debut after his own January loan move.

Nwakali played his third match for Maastricht on Saturday, and provided an assist as they beat SC Cambuur 2-0. After a couple of defeats in their last two games, the Nigerian will be happy to get back to winning ways.

He came off in injury time after playing 90 minutes.

Jeff Reine-Adelaide made his debut from the bench, as Angers lost 4-0 to Monaco. The 20-year-old played the final 19 minutes of the match, after the away side had already scored all four goals.

Carl Jenkinson played the full match in Birmingham City’s 2-0 derby defeat to Aston Villa. Cohen Bramall didn’t make it off the bench on this occasion.

Emi Martinez was also an unused substitute as Getafe drew 0-0 with Barcelona.

Tafari Moore started for Wycombe Wanderers in the 1-1 draw with Exeter City, and played the full 90 minutes. Julio Pleguezuelo also played the full match as his new side Gimnastic de Tarragona won 1-0 against Albacete.

Chuba Akpom made his first start for Sint-Truiden, and played 78 minutes. Unfortunately they lost 3-0 to Gent. He’s still searching for his first goal with the club.

Marc Bola and Takuma Asano didn’t play any part in Stuttgart and Bristol Rovers’ wins. Meanwhile Krystian Bielik, Ben Sheaf, Joel Campbell and Stephy Mavididi are all recovering from injury.

Lucas Perez should appear in Deportivo La Coruna’s match against Real Betis on Monday night.
