Arsenal’s fine team goal against Crystal Palace has been nominated for the Premier League’s Goal of the Month.

Alexandre Lacazette’s strike during the 4-1 win over Crystal Palace in January is one of eight goals selected for the Premier League Goal of the Month award.

The Frenchman scored the fourth goal of the day by finishing off a wonderful team move.

The goal was created by fine inter-play between Mesut Ozil, Alex Iwobi and Jack Wilshere before the striker applied the finishing touch.

It so happened to be Lacazette’s first goal in eight games, and a rare moment of quality in an otherwise dreary month on the pitch for the club.

The 26-year-old is the club’s top scorer this season with nine goals in 25 appearances in the Premier League.

His goal will be up against seven other goals.

Jesse Lingard, Pedro Obiang, Son Heung-Min, Christian Eriksen, Roberto Firmino, Anthony Martial, and Willian are also in contention.

The winner will be determined in five days time.
