Underdogs did not enjoy a good day in the Women’s FA Cup Round 4, with Cardiff City the only team to cause an upset.

  • Reading 0 Birmingham City 1
  • Yeovil Town  0 Arsenal 3

Arsenal disappointed in their 3-0 victory over Yeovil, missing two penalties in the process.

There were also semi-surprises as Birmingham beat Reading away and Everton defeated Bristol at home.

FA WSL 1 v FA WSL 2

  • Liverpool* 5 Watford 0
  • Brighton & Hove Albion 0 Manchester City* 2
  • London Bees 0  Chelsea* 10

Chelsea thrashed London Bees as they did not want a repeat of their defeat in the Conti Cup a couple of years ago.

Liverpool also destroyed Watford, while City won 2-0 away to Brighton.

All three teams rotated their squad a little.

FA WSL1 v FA WPL Div1

There was a three-division gap between these two teams and there are no prizes for guessing who won that one. Especially as we’ve just told you the result.

  • Tottenham Hotspurs 0 Doncaster Rovers Belles 3

League form prevailed in those ties between FA WSL 2 sides.

The only upset from this round came from Cardiff City who beat WSL 2 side, Oxford, on penalties. Congratulations to them.

Villa and Millwall managed to beat their WPL opponent with four goals each.

Two teams that might come up against each other in the FA WPL play-off final for FA WSL2 promotion. It was a tight game, as expected.
