Arsenal are said to be one of several teams interested in signing Hoffenheim midfielder Kerem Demirbay, according to reports.

Demirbay is one of the key players in Hoffenheim’s team and seems to be earning a lot attention.

According to Sport Bild, Arsenal, Everton, Liverpool, AC Milan, Schalke and Borussia Dortmund are all interested in the midfielder.

Sport Bild believe that Dortmund and Milan would be the most interested in the 24-year-old.

He’s under contract until 2021, but is reported to have a release clause of £29m.

Such a fee would be will-within the price range of several Premier League teams.

Demirbay is a central or attacking midfielder, an area of the pitch that Arsenal are well stocked in.

Between Mesut Ozil, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey, Arsenal are hardly short on creativity.

Targeting another one in the summer would be unnecessary unless a couple of players left.

Demirbay has made 23 appearances for Hoffenheim this season, scoring twice and assiting five times.

He’s currently out for the foreseeable future after injuring his ankle ligaments during Hoffenheim’s 1-1 draw with Hertha Berlin last Saturday.
