Arsene Wenger has said that Jack Wilshere could play against Bournemouth on Sunday, while Aaron Ramsey is set to return to the squad.

Wilshere had to go off in the second half of Arsenal’s Carabao Cup semi-final at Stamford Bridge due to an ankle problem.

The midfielder blocked a cross into the box, but damaged his ankle in the process.

Arsene Wenger confirmed after the game that it was ligament damage and said he could be short for the trip to Bournemouth on Sunday.

Amid the fear and disappointment that he could be out for a while, Wilshere has taken to Twitter to assure fans he’ll be back soon.

In his pre-Bournemouth press conference, Wenger said he had received very good news about Wilshere, and that he could be available for Sunday.

Aaron Ramsey will also return after recovering from a hamstring injury he picked up against Southampton last month.

Wenger gave updates on the remaining injuries in the squad.

Mesut Ozil, who missed the Chelsea match in mid-week with a knee injury, will have a late test to see if he can play.

Laurent Koscielny, Nacho Monreal and Sead Kolasinac could all return next week.Olivier Giroud is out forĀ  another two weeks.
