Arsene Wenger wants to move past this transfer window as quickly as possible because he believes it’s been the most destabilising one yet.

Wenger just wants January to be over.

With players coming and going, the Frenchman believes the winter transfer window has ‘disturbed’ the squad.

“We have to very quickly get over this transfer period because for us especially it has been more disturbing than ever,” he said. “Why? Because we have such influential players close to the end of their contracts and it has been more destabilising than ever.”

To be fair, it’s hard to remember a January window that’s been this busy for Arsenal and nothing has really happened yet.

Alexis Sanchez has reportedly signed a four-and-a-half year deal with Manchester United that sees him earn £14m-per-year.

Meanwhile, Henrikh Mkhitaryan is said to be moving the other way after the Gunners failed the sign the 28-year-old from Dortmund in 2016.

Arsenal are also allegedly trying to sign Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and were heavily linked with Bordeaux winger, Malcom, who Spurs are now allegedly willing to pay £40m plus £10m in bonuses for.

Mesut Ozil and Jack Wilshere are both down to the final six months of their contracts but are expected to stay. Either that or, considering neither are going anywhere this month, we’re allowing them to leave on a free at the end of the season.

Francis Coquelin signed for Valencia and Theo Walcott went to Everton.

How hilarious would it be if we get to February 1st still owning Alexis with no other incomings but ‘that Greek lad’.

Peak Arsenal.
