The official UEFA website picked their 50 young players to watch in 2018, and not one of them plays for Arsenal.

UEFA.com posted the list on Friday, and included players from a few other English sides.

Defensive midfielder Ethan Ampadu (Chelsea) made the list, as did u17 World Cup winner Phil Foden (Manchester City).

They also chose Ryan Sessegnon (Fulham), as the left-back is on 50 Championship appearances at 17.

Jadon Sancho used to play for Manchester City as well, but he’s now with Borussia Dortmund.

Surprisingly, they couldn’t find room for any of the young Gunners.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles played every minute of the Europa League group stages, and he’s currently the club’s starting left-back.

Reiss Nelson made nine appearances for the Arsenal first-team before he even turned eighteen.

Joe Willock and Eddie Nketiah have both appeared and impressed in the League Cup and Europa League as well.

Hopefully, all of them break through this year and prove themselves at even higher levels.

But clearly, UEFA.com reporters aren’t convinced just yet.

Performances like Maitland-Niles’ on Wednesday against the defending champions can’t do any harm, though.

Maybe we’ll see a few more of them this weekend, as the Gunners face Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup.
