Wojciech Szczesny has been named Juventus’ player of the month for December.

Szczesny made the step-up to join Juventus in the summer and is having an excellent time of it.

He was expected to be spend a year on the bench, but an injury to Gianluigi Buffon has given him an extended run in the first team.

He’s done so well that the Juventus fans have voted him their player of the month for December.

The Polish keeper played six times throughout December and conceded just a single goal.

His excellent saves earned Juventus a hard-earned win at Cagliari in their last outing.

They’ve been so impressed with him in Turin that they’ve stopped looking at other goalkeepers to succeed Buffon.

There were reportedly still doubts about him after his signing, but his performances have proved them wrong.

Szczesny’s success only further highlights what a poor decision it was to let him leave.

His stellar performances contrast Petr Cech’s errors and David Ospina’s unreliability.

He would have been the ideal solution to our current keeper problem, but was let go all too easily.
