The 21-year-old defender has already undertaken a training session with his new team and is the sixth signing in this window for the Spanish side.

Nàstic Tarragona play in Spain’s second division and are currently 14th.

The centre-back, who joined Arsenal’s youth side from Barcelona in 2013, spent last season out on loan at Mallorca, so a return to Spain makes sense.

Despite making 12 appearances for Arsenal’s u23s this term, Pleguezuelo is yet to impress enough to even make the bench for the first team. Considering his age, this needs to change if he wants a future in north London.
