Olivier Giroud has allegedly arrived at Chelsea’s training ground in Cobham ahead of what is being reported as a permanent move.

Arsenal fans are currently in a state of turmoil as Giroud’s move to Chelsea edges closer.

Shortly after Arsenal officially announced Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang‘s move to north London, the 31-year-old was pictured outside of what people are claiming to be the Blues’ training ground.

Although the striker had been linked with Dortmund as part of a swap deal for Aubameyang, it’s widely thought that Giroud would much prefer to stay in London.

Dortmund are signing Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi on loan instead.

Right on cue, Chelsea, who really need a forward, came in with an offer for Giroud and have been thrashing out numbers with Arsenal ever since.

Giroud’s transfer fee is reportedly in the region of £17.5 – £2.5m less than the Gunners were allegedly asking for.

It’s not a bad sum when you consider his age, fact that he’s only made one Premier League start this season and had 18 months left on his Arsenal contract.

The Chelsea deal is thought to be for two-and-a-half years.

It’s a shame to see him go. The big guy will be missed.
