Olivier Giroud has bid his ‘Arsenal family’ farewell.
Late on Wednesday afternoon, Giroud’s £18m move to Chelsea was finally announced and Arsenal fans aren’t taking it well.
Even though he was never the world class striker we always needed, he did one hell of a job and never complained.
The 31-year-old has taken to social media to thank what he’s described as his ‘Arsenal family’ for their unconditional support over the last five-and-a-half years.
I spent five and a half amazing years within the arsenal family. This beautiful story ends today. Thank you for your warm welcome. I would like to especially thank the fans for their unconditional support upon my arrival #nananana #ThankYou pic.twitter.com/GofNGAi3pW

The striker rounded off his message with a picture of him scoring that legendary scorpion kick against Crystal Palace over a year ago.
During his time in north London, the France international scored 105 goals in 253 appearances.
It’s a shame to see Giroud leave Arsenal – he was a real fan favourite – and it’s even more disappointing to lose him to a rival.
We wish Giroud the best of luck for the future… except when he plays against Arsenal that is.
