Besiktas’ president is in England to negotiate a deal for Olivier Giroud after finalising Cenk Tosun’s sale to Everton, according to reports.

Turkish striker Tosun is set to complete a move from Besiktas to Everton.

The move could have repercussions for Arsenal, as Besiktas are looking in England for a replacement.

According to BeinSportsTr, Besiktas’ president will open negotiations with Arsenal with Giroud once Tosun’s move is finalised.

Sport Witness add that Daniel Sturridge, Islam Slimani and Zlatan Ibrahimovic could also be targets.

The possibility of Giroud replacing Tosun at Besiktas has been raised before.

With the Frenchman not a starter at the club anymore, talk of a move has only gotten louder.

He’s made just a single start in the Premier League this season, which might not be enough to earn him a starting spot for France at the World Cup.

Arsenal, though, would be reluctant to let such an excellent squad player leave.

Giroud has proven to be extremely useful off the bench and has provided a number of late goals.

With plenty of cup matches to come, Arsenal will want to keep him for as long as they can.
