Henrikh Mkhitaryan looks set to make his debut against Swansea, while Aaron Ramsey could return to the starting line-up.
Arsenal return to Premier League action after having the weekend off.
They’ll be travelling to a recovering Swansea team coming off the back of a victory over Liverpool. The game should see Henrikh Mkhitaryan make his début in place of Alex Iwobi on the left of Arsenal’s attack.
Olivier Giroud is also back from injury, but might not make the squad due to his potential involvement in transfers. Danny Welbeck remains out with a hip problem, but wouldn’t have made the starting eleven anyway.
Bar Mkhitaryan coming in and Petr Cech resuming duties as number one, Arsenal should be largely unchanged from their Carabao Cup semi-final victory over Chelsea. The one question mark is over Mohamed Elneny.
He has started the last two games but could drop out for Aaron Ramsey now the Welshman has had solid week of training behind him. Ramsey could start alongside Granit Xhaka, who would drop into his usual holding role. Jack Wilshere should feature too.
The midfield will protect the usual backline of Laurent Koscielny, Shkordran Mustafi, Hector Bellerin and Nacho Monreal. Up front, Alexandre Lacazette will be supported by Mesut Ozil and Mkhitaryan.
Predicted XI: Cech – Bellerin, Koscielny, Mustafi, Monreal – Wilshere, Xhaka, Ramsey – Ozil, Mkhitaryan – Lacazette
