With Bordeaux forward Malcom reportedly set to move to Arsenal one minute, and stay in France the next, it’s hard to decipher which story is most accurate.
At the end of last week, links between Malcom and Arsenal really began to hot up. On Friday, it was reported that a meeting between the 20-year-old’s representatives and Bordeaux was set to take place at the weekend.
Arsenal were said to want to reach a conclusion by today. The Brazilian is supposed to be Alexis Sanchez’s replacement and it seems the Chilean is off to Manchester United in a matter of days.
Malcom’s team made it known that they were in London over the weekend, as reported, and the meeting allegedly went ahead with a £44.5m deal being agreed. The Ligue 1 club wanted him back on loan for the rest of the season.

What’s the latest?
Bordeaux are now reportedly unwilling to sell in January.
The Gunners allegedly weren’t willing to loan the youngster back to the French side until the end of the season, which is apparently why the deal hasn’t been wrapped up.
French outlets, Sud Ouest and SFR Sport, claim that, contrary to reports from Brazil, no progress has been made on the deal and Bordeaux would rather wait until summer before selling their key player.
Although talks are said to be ongoing, Bordeaux’s president Nicolas de Tavernost has told L’Equipe: “Malcom will not be leaving.”
Meanwhile, Brazilian outlet Globoesporte insist the deal is still going ahead.
