Borussia Dortmund are eyeing up Michy Batshuayi as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s replacement, but Chelsea want their deal wrapped up before allowing Michy to leave.

According to Bild, Dortmund are keen to bring Batshuayi to the Bundesliga on loan once Aubameyang completes his move to Arsenal. However, Chelsea aren’t willing to allow the 24-year-old to leave before they’ve signed Andy Carroll from West Ham.

Batshuayi was previously reported to have already agreed terms with Sevilla, but now it seems that Dortmund is a possibility.

The Belgium international signed for Chelsea from Marseille in 2016 for a reported £31.5m. He’s made 49 appearances across all competitions since the move, with 31 coming in the Premier League. He’s struggled for playing time this season, so a loan would be sensible.

Chelsea, meanwhile, are willing to pay £20m to bring Carroll to Stamford Bridge in what many are viewing as a bit of a strange transfer.

Regardless of whether Antontio Conte signs the 29-year-old or not, I don’t think this will affect Aubamayang’s £53m move to north London. Arsenal need to replace Alexis Sanchez once he moves to Manchester United, and Bild claim the deal is just days away.

The 28-year-old also seems pretty keen, even teasingly asking teammate Jadon Sancho, “Can you bring me to London one day?” during an Instagram Live stream on Tuesday.
