Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is taking some time out in Milan amid speculation about his future.

Aubameyang is a target for Arsenal this January and, like every big transfer target, can’t keep out of the news.

Calciomercato took great pride in pointing out that the striker is in Milan with his girlfriend.

They state that he was there to escape the press and cameras in Germany, which is rather ironic, given that they’ve also just intruded on his privacy.

That aside, they throw in a tenuous link with AC Milan and speculate if they will make an offer or if the 28-year-old will move to China instead.

Arsenal’s interest isn’t mentioned at all.

Aubameyang is a former Milan player.

He was there as a teenager, but failed to make a single first team appearance.

After loan spells at Dijon, Monaco and St. Etienne, he made a permanent move to the latter.

A year later, he was on the move again, this time to Borussia Dortmund after he caught Sven Mislintat’s eye. It was there where his goalscoring exploded.

Given the choice between Milan, China and Arsenal, you’d like to think he would choose Arsenal.
