Borussia Dortmund have cleared Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to undergo a medical at Arsenal, although they still haven’t fully sanctioned a sale just yet.

The BBC report that Dortmund still haven’t agreed to sell the striker, as they want a replacement first. However, they recognise that time’s running out, so they’ve allowed Aubameyang to go and complete a medical anyway, in case it all goes through.

This news won’t come as any surprise to your average Arsenal fan on social media. First, the German journalists spotted the striker getting out of his vehicle and entering Dortmund Airport. They posted a video of the 28-year-old and his family on Twitter.

After that, Arsenal fans believed they’d found the private jet on a flight tracker. Flight C25A travelled from Dortmund to London Luton earlier on Tuesday.

Sky Sports then announced that Aubameyang had arrived at the club training ground:

Footage also appeared of a van allegedly containing the striker arriving at the training ground:

As mentioned, the deal isn’t done quite yet. Dortmund still have the final say over whether their player can leave the club, and they won’t do so if they can’t bring anyone in.

It’s definitely a good sign though. I doubt the Germans want to tell Aubameyang that after a trip to London and a medical with Arsenal he has to return and play for them instead.
