Aaron Ramsey is fast becoming one of the best box-to-box midfielders in the Premier League, and the statistics back up such a claim.

Ramsey put in a few more good performances against Burnley, Huddersfield and Manchester United, contributing to four of Arsenal’s seven goals in the three games. He also helps out at the other end of the field, making 36 tackles so far this season, and perhaps isn’t given the credit he deserves.

The Welsh international is brilliant going forward to, evident by his six assists and three goals this season, putting him level with Alexandre Lacazette for goals contributed.

And while not on the same level as Mesut Ozil for chances created, Ramsey has made an impressive 19 opportunities for his teammates in the Premier League.

The 26-year-old’s best attribute is his industry on and off the ball, in my opinion. Ramsey has an 85% dribble success rate, better than the likes of Chelsea’s Eden Hazard and Alexis Sanchez.

Arsenal have a player doing his defensive duties diligently, as well as being capable of driving from deep to turn defence into attack, while also being a threat in the final third. According to the Telegraph, Ramsey is in the top five for fastest for highest average speed recorded in the Premier League.

Perhaps the most important stat, however, is the number of minutes spent on the pitch. The Welshman has regularly struggled with injuries in the past, but this season he’s only missed one league match.

He’s a key player for Arsenal and deserves more credit from supporters and pundits, in my opinion.
