Arda Turan’s agent is in talks with several clubs ahead of a possible January transfer, according to reports.

Turan has been incessantly linked with Arsenal, and speculation is set to continue after his agent confirmed he was looking to engineer a move for his client.

Speaking to TRT Spor via Four Four Two, his agent, Ahmet Bulut, said: “We’re troubled with Arda’s situation. He didn’t even get to play 10 minutes. We respect Ernesto Valverde but I can’t understand how can he assess a player whom he doesn’t put on the field.

“I’m having talks with several clubs regarding Arda but I can’t name any of them. I’m trying to wrap this up by January but if we can’t reach an agreement with any of the teams, he’ll stay at Barca.

“Arda scored 13 goals when Neymar was away injured. He plays hard when he gets a chance.”

The midfielder has struggled with injuries this season and has yet to make a single appearance for Barcelona under new manager Ernesto Valverde.

The former Atletico Madrid player is now 30, and doesn’t seem like the attractive or smart option for Arsenal at this stage due to his lack of creativity and form at Barca.

Nonetheless, that hasn’t stopped reports of him joining Arsenal. What was once a passing interest has now been given much more significance due to the contract situation of Mesut Ozil.

The £13.5m-rated man happens to be a readily available attacking-midfielder Barcelona would be willing to let go of, but Arsenal are yet to make an official approach.
