Arsene Wenger is once again likely to rest several of Arsenal’s first team players against West Ham on Tuesday and field a fringe team.

Wenger put out a young side to face Norwich City in the last round of the Carabao Cup with a few experienced players who had been struggling for game time thrown in for good measure. And still we struggled, narrowly winning thanks to a brace from Eddie Nketiah who came on in the 85th minute.

I don’t expect much different from the boss against West Ham. I imagine we’ll see a team made up of reserves and senior players who haven’t been given a proper run out in the Premier League recently.

David Ospina hasn’t played for about 10 years (/7 December against BATE Borisov) so I imagine we’ll see him step in.

Sead Kolasinac has recently fallen down the pecking order with 20-year-old Ainsley Maitland-Niles getting the nod against Newcastle so he’ll probably get some game time as well. As will Danny Welbeck, Olivier Giroud, Per Mertesacker and Mathieu Debuchy.

Wenger has also confirmed that Theo Walcott is fit and will play on Tuesday.

Predicted team: Ospina, Debuchy, Holding, Mertesacker, Kolasinac, Elneny, Coquelin, Welbeck, Iwobi, Theo, Giroud.
