Shkodran Mustafi and Alexis Sanchez made the WhoScored team of the week after their excellent displays against Crystal Palace.
Mustafi and Alexis scored all three of Arsenal’s goals in their 3-2 win at Selhurst Park on Thursday night.
Their contributions earned them spots in WhoScored’s Premier League team of the week (via Football Talk).
Mustafi’s calm, side-footed finish gave Arsenal the lead in the first half.
His goal capped off a strong defensive display, which saw him win 63% of his aerial duels and 100% of his tackles.
He successfully saw off the threat of Christian Benteke and mopped up at the back with 10 clearances.
Alexis had one of his best games for Arsenal this season as his brace turned out to be match-winning.
He restored Arsenal’s lead in the second half before giving us a needed two-goal cushion.
He was Arsenal’s most influential attacker on the night and had more touches than other player on the field.
The Chilean also created chances for his teammates, including one excellent pass for Mesut Ozil in the first half.
We haven’t always seen the best of these two this season, so hopefully they can kick-on from this performance.
