Arsenal were once again linked with Paris Saint-Germain’s Julian Draxler, and supporters are warming to the idea of his signing, should Alexis Sanchez leave next month or next summer.

He’s long been linked with Arsenal, and it appears fans would consider his signing a success, if it’s as a replacement for Sanchez.

Arsenal were reportedly told to pay £40m to sign Draxler in January, with manager Arsene Wenger lining up his options for when Alexis eventually departs. The Chilean’s contract is up in the summer, and Manchester City’s ongoing interest means he could leave in a matter of weeks or months.

Draxler wouldn’t be a bad replacement, however, having scored and created five goals in 10 Ligue 1 starts this season. The German international, who joined Paris Saint-Germain from Vfl Wolfsburg in January 2017, has made 48 appearances, but finds his place under threat due to the arrival of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

Arsenal could afford to sign the 24-year-old if they can make funds from the sale of deadwood next month, or if Arsene Wenger can convince the board to sanction a deal, and fans seem on board with such a player coming to the Emirates whatever happens.
