Chile will play Sweden in a friendly at the Friends Arena in March.

Alexis Sanchez’ Chile will travel to the Friends Arena for a friendly with Sweden on March the 24th, the Swedish FA have confirmed.

The game will be a chance for Sweden to play against top class opponents as preparation for the World Cup in the summer.

Chile, on the other hand, will be playing for the first time since missing out on World Cup qualification in October.

The team that won two Copa America titles and reached the final of the 2017 Confederations Cup had a dreadful World Cup qualifying campaign where they finished sixth.

Alexis, who became Chile’s all time leading scorer in the summer, struggled for form.

He had some rare time off in November when Chile had no fixtures scheduled for the international break.

However, it seems he will be taking part in some games during the next break in March.

That is, of course, assuming he’s still an Arsenal player and hasn’t been sold during the January transfer window.

Arsenal travel to Leicester and play Stoke at home either side of the March international break.
