Arsenal have reportedly been scouting Benfica winger, Andrija Zivkovic, this week.

Not stacking up

It’s hard to believe Arsenal Wenger is truly interested in the Serbia international. He’s not having the best season having made just six starts across all competitions.

Plus, he reportedly has a whopping €60m (£53m) release clause. There’s no way the boss would break Arsenal’s transfer record on a 21-year-old winger who’s only made 14 appearances for Benfica this term.

Zivkovic still has until June 2021 on his contract with the Portuguese team and while his lack of game time suggests that Rui Vitória may want to sell him, I doubt north London is the winger’s destination.

The young Serbia international has only been at Benfica since 2016 when he signed from Partizan on a free.
